It seems there’s a recession going on within the economy; the stats of the ever-richer few overwhelm the hundreds of millions whose lives are getting harder, whose incomes are shrinking by comparison and whose meager wealth is in danger of being taken away completely. The rich are able to bid prices of everything up, while everyone else runs twice as hard just to keep in the same place. For the poor, it’s always a recession. Except when it’s a depression, which is also always.
That we’re losing ground on public perception of climate catastrophe as well as still not being able to keep up with the pace of the worsening warming by building renewable energy and other solutions is chilling, to say the least. Thankfully much of the rest of the world is slowly becoming more rational. Too slowly.

Sadly, Bill Gate's recent chatter may further dampen public interest in climate change.
